Scenarios are enhanced text-based journeys to guide users through particular questions. The instructions interact with the simulation to show the screens and options referred to in the text. They are provided as HTML and can be governed by your own styles and branding. These scenarios, being web content, are capable of being sent out as URL links.
Scenarios are most useful when performing an action isn't as simple as getting to a screen and then changing one setting, e.g. setting up an e-mail account. Equally as useful when your advisers will need to give a little more explanation, e.g. an IP address or a Message Centre number. For everything else there is A2B which dramatically reduces your reliance on scenarios.
You can find examples of scenarios in the 6680 demo. Here the scenarios are divided into "Settings" and "Popular". This reflects the most frequently asked questions further reducing call times.
Alternatives:
To reflect the fact that enhanced text isn't always required, and that in some instances a2b may not be a preferred route, Virtuaphone now has the ability to offer two alternatives: QuickLinks and A2B-Direct.
| QuickLinks |
Quick links simply offer the ability to call a screen in the Simulator by means of an HTML link. This doesn't offer instructions to get to a screen but rather a rapid means of getting to it. Ideal for checking values.

| A2B-Direct |
Similar to the QuickLink in that an HTML link calls a specific screen but with the additional benefit that it also calls an A2B search to provide the user with automatically generated instructions for getting to that screen. |
Both these options are from pre-defined lists of key words. A significant benefit of this approach is that standardised keywords can be used (even where that standardisation isn't in the phones themselves!). Also, being HTML links, they would be capable of being returned in a search engine.
